Senior Scientist/Engineer, Ph.D. in
Bioengineering or Biological Sciences
Enertechnix is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Scientist/Engineer.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in microbiology,
bioengineering or related disciplines. Evidence of strong
laboratory/experimental skills, English language and communication skills
(written and oral), and analytical skills should be provided. This position will
involve interdisciplinary research and development in an academic setting, but
focused on technical product development and commercialization.
Candidates should be able to develop quantitative engineering models based on
first principles and empirical observations, and to devise and execute
experiments designed to confirm model predictions and hypotheses. Specific
expertise in development of immunological- and DNA-based assays for
identification of biological agents, or other biological sensing/diagnostic
technologies applicable to bio-aerosol particle characterization/identification,
is highly desirable.
Enertechnix conducts government-funded research and development in the areas of
aerosolized biological and chemical agent sampling and detection, biomedical
applications of aerosol sampling, and other engineering solutions to military,
security and biomedical detection problems.
