Enertechnix and Berry Metal Company Enter into Partnership Agreement
October 7, 2016 – Enertechnix, Inc., the leader in innovative monitoring technologies to
improve the efficiency, cleanliness and safety of large-scale energy conversion and
manufacturing processes, today announced it has entered into a Partnership Agreement
with Berry Metal Company, located in Harmony, PA, to use infrared cameras as part of a
product offering for Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel applications worldwide.
Berry Metal Company has collaborated with Enertechnix, Inc. on an engineering front to
make it possible for infrared viewing technology to be properly enclosed, cooled and
protected to withstand the challenges of an Electric Arc Furnace steelmaking
environment which includes high temperatures, strong electromagnetic fields, and
molten, flying sparks of metal.
The unique product offering that has come out of this development work will deliver
new visibility into this key steel-making process, helping to improve safety, efficiency
and product quality. This technology will make it possible to achieve visibility inside
your Electric Arc Furnace during operational conditions.
